For the moment Aikido Yuishinkai London is open to people over the age of 18 only. Association Membership You don't have to be a member of the Club to attend our classes, however, after the first three classes you attend, you will be required to be a member of an Association within the British Aikido Board, the Sport England recognised Governing Body for Aikido. If you are not already a member of a BAB recognised Aikido Association, after your first three classes, we will ask you to join the Isshinkai Association. This is to comply with BAB policy and insurance requirements. If you are a member of another BAB recognised Aikido Association you are welcome to continue attending after your first three classes without joining the Isshinkai Association subject to BAB approved Insurance cover. Grading We don't charge additionally for grading however we do require you to be a member of the Club and the Isshinkai Association to grade with us. Gradings take place periodically on normal club nights when a special presentation evening is held. If you already hold a grade in Aikido we will recognise it. If you should want to grade with us beyond your current grade we will wait for you to get up to speed with our syllabus and reach the level required. Club Membership If you are attending as a visitor you can pay your class fees each time you attend. To become a member, simply apply to pay by monthly standing order instead. Ask for the relevant forms when you arrive for a class. |
